Turano Home
Surrounded by an untouched forest landscape, this IDEHO home speaks the language of nature from its very foundations. It was conceived to blend gently into its habitat, never imposing its presence, but instead yielding harmoniously to the wild vegetation.
The project, signed by the IDEHO System, followed a simple principle: letting nature set the rules.
The house rises exactly where the trees left an opening,a natural clearing among the pines that defined its shape and size without the need for invasive interventions or forced alterations.
No trees were cut down, and no unevenness of the ground was levelled. The structure rests gently on the terrain, embracing the natural slope, with a long cantilever suspended toward the Turano River, appearing to float among the branches.
This is the name of the house, which presents itself as an honest, camouflaged refuge with a dual identity: more sheltered on the side facing the courtyard, and completely open on the side facing the forest, the river, and the surrounding nature — establishing an absolute symbiosis between interior and exterior.
To minimise environmental impact, the construction combines prefabricated IDEHO System modules, assembled in the factory and installed on-site, with more artisanal, Made in Italy elements. The contrast between industrial solutions and more authentic surfaces adds character, giving the house a multifaceted soul where every element contributes to a sense of durability and uniqueness.
And finally, there is the reflection room, separate from the main structure: to reach it, one must cross the garden through a glass passageway. What could be more beautiful than being embraced by nature, by this joyful tangle of branches, leaves, scents, and vibrant life?
It all lies here, in this perfect fusion between architecture and nature. And so nature becomes a pillar of daily life, in a domestic space that feels like an extension of the forest. More than a house, a nest among the pines.
